How It All Began

Atoll Atom started in 2019 when a group of educators noticed something troubling: children were increasingly disconnected from the natural world around them. Screen time was rising, outdoor play was declining, and opportunities for hands-on nature exploration were becoming rare.

We believed there had to be a better way to bring the wonder of nature into homes and classrooms without requiring families to become wilderness experts or invest in expensive equipment.

What began as a small pilot project with three local schools has grown into a collection of carefully designed educational kits now used by thousands of families across the United Kingdom.

Our Development Process

Each kit goes through multiple stages before reaching customers. Initial concepts are developed by our education team, then prototyped and tested with focus groups of children and parents.

We refine instructions based on real feedback, adjust activity difficulty levels, and ensure that materials withstand enthusiastic use. Only after this extensive process does a kit enter production.

This approach means longer development cycles, but results in products that genuinely deliver on their educational promise.
